iStat for iPhone review
February 12th, 2009
as most of you know, iStat is a Mac app that shows your stats for your Mac, such as CPU Temperature, amount of RAM used and free, and also how much you’re downloading uploading. Well, now for $1.99, you can now download the iStat menu for the iPhone in the iTunes app Store. its basically the same thing for the Mac, except you can use it for your iPhone. But the cool thing is, is that if you connect to the iStat server (download iStat Server, then when downloaded, open it), and type in your Mac IP address or your router IP address(usually 192.168.x.x), type in the password provided by the iStat server app on the Mac, and now you can view the specs of your Mac. I’ve heard rumors that you can use it anywhere, but I’ve only been successfully able to use it via my Router’s wifi. I definately recommend this app if you want to see stats on your Mac via your iPhone, or if you want to view stats on your iPhone. Another cool feature is that you can free memory on your iPhone so it can run faster and not be so slow and clunky after running several apps.
**nominated for iPhone app of the week on my blog**
