Foursquare Android

Foursquare is a location based service that is growing in numbers rather quickly. It allows you to check-in at locations you visit. Find out more about Foursquare at their website.

Foursquare has application for the iPhone and Android platforms as well as a mobile web and text message check-in set-up. Checking-in on Foursquare Application on the Android OS is rather easy. You simply open the app and it detects all the nearby businesses.

The issue first I find is it never has the one I am actually at. Foursquare has it in their database and the GPS shows me in the right place but it is not showing up in the Nearby unless I search for the place. Another issue I find with the application is you can not add friends or search for friends. You also cannot do much in the interaction of people besides see where they last checked in and see their badges.

In the end the Four Square App for Android is rather lite application but does it’s job of letting you check-in.
