How Do You Tweet?
March 10th, 2010Everybody seems to have their own personal favorite twitter client whether it be an application or web-based. Personally I used Tweetdeck because it gives me everything I want to see all at once, this is nice because it fills my second monitor. I am also fortunate to have 4GBs of RAM because Tweetdeck is a memory guzzler. From Tweetdeck you can view someones profile and view that specific persons tweets, you can also follow, unfollow, or block from the same screen. Tweetdeck is very customizable, it allows you to choose which “columns” you want to see or how many columns you want. I also use Tweetdeck on my iPod.
Tweetie is also a nice twitter application but , there is a catch, it is a paid app. Tweetie does the same things but it does not show everything all at once, which for me is a downside. You must click on certain buttons to show your time line, @ reply’s and direct messages. Within Tweetie you can view someones profile and view that specific persons tweets, you can also follow, unfollow, or block from the same screen.
People like me also use the web-based applications. I use ping.fm to post a tweet whenever I push out new content from my blog. Ping.fm allows you to update several websites and services all from one site. Doing this is as easy as registering then adding all the services you want to update when you post to ping.fm.
SocialOomph is a web-based application that allows you to; send out tweets at a certain time, follow people that follow you, unfollow people that unfollow you and much more. This app is nice for the free features but to get all of them you would have to pay, which I would never do for something like this.
Twiveaway is a very nice free web-based application that allows to you easily do giveaways. Just enter a certain text that you want people to retweet and when they tweet that and complete all the tasks (like following) they will automatically be entered into the giveaway. Then, at the end you can easily pick a winner.
These are some tools that I use, SocialOomph not so much, and I wanted to share it with you guys. What applications do you use? What do you recommend? Comments Welcome!

Blame the epic hogging on Adobe Air.
Adobe failing once again
